Sindex - Data Processing Automation for a Large Team
Sindex - Data Processing Automation for a Large Team
In my team (marketing related / Google Ads project), we often help clients expand into new markets. This includes researching competitors — who’s active in the space, how much they spend, what results they get.
But there was a problem: giving clients raw competitor data is confidential and unethical. Just sharing “Company X gets 40,000 clicks/month” isn’t an option.
So I built Sindex — an internal tool that anonymizes and indexes sensitive data, so we can share insights without revealing specifics
How it works:
Pulls all historical data across competitors (clicks, CPCs, conversions)
Detects highest monthly value per metric (e.g., 10,000 clicks)
Maps all other monthly averages onto a 10000-scale index
Final output = fully anonymized graph or table
Clients get a clear trendline (e.g., click interest is rising), without raw data
I built this using Google Sheets + Apps Script with dropdown filters, automation triggers, and protection logic.
The output is clean, readable, client-friendly, and fully within policy.
Impact:
Adopted by multiple teams
Saves 3–5 hours of manual prep per week
Reduced risk of data breaches to zero
Helped us deliver smarter insights that clients could actually use
🛠 Tech: Google Sheets, Apps Script, QA docs, onboarding materials, version control
📌 What this project shows:
I understand both the tech and the business context. I can solve real problems with scalable solutions, even inside strict policy frameworks. I see the loophole — and close it, cleanly.
